Hello, my name is Natalie Palmer, and this is my recipe blog. I have been in the restaurant business since I was twelve. My chef dad would hire me to wrap water chestnuts in bacon, and to prep fruit for about $1.50 an hour at the local country club. Fast forward about ten years and I found myself working at my family restaurant. I started as a salad bar waitress, then a banquet waitress, became the manager, and finally made it to the chef position. That family business lasted about twelve years for me. My next venture was owning my own coffee shop cafe, but that’s a story for another time.
Since then my cooking journey has done a 180 degree turn. I went from cooking comfort food to being very conscious about what goes into my body. That is why I am writing this blog – to share my favorite easy and delicious recipes.
